As a lifelong student, I am so pleased every opportunity I get to share my enthusiasm about science and education. From my years developing outdoor leaders to my graduate education, I keep fun and discovery as central themes in my teaching style. Here I am sharing (probably too much) enthusiasm for dryland science on a week-long field course on the Salmon River in Idaho.

Here is a write-up and video from a field ecology course on the Salmon River in Idaho!

I participate in the ESA SEEDS program, a wonderful effort to provide mentorship to underrepresented groups in ecology. Check them out!

I was in the inaugural class of the Student Outdoor Leadership Experience, originally started at the University of Tennessee. It has now grown and is led at several universities, including this course I helped lead at Virginia Commonwealth University. It is an ongoing program and they recruit new students every year!
